Announcing the hashgraph inaugural developer conference, Hedera18

Hedera
Hedera provides secure, scalable infrastructure for real-world decentralized applications in finance, AI, and sustainability, governed by global enterprises.

Following the success of our launch event in March, which sold out in just nine hours, we are excited to announce our first ever developer conference in Dallas, from October 15-17, 2018.

We would not be where we are today without the enthusiasm of the community and Hedera18 is a chance for us to come together to learn all about the services offered by the Hedera network, build new friendships that will last throughout our careers, and generally have a lot of fun. If you’re a developer, architect, or entrepreneur, this is the event for you. There will be opportunities to learn how to build a new generation of decentralized applications that simply has not been possible until now through sessions presented by Hedera experts, including our Co-Founder, Dr. Leemon Baird, the inventor of the hashgraph consensus algorithm.

We will also have presentations from the developer community, knowledge sharing about how to build dapps, interesting use cases, lessons learned, and best practices. If you are interested in presenting, please submit your abstract via our call-for-papers form here.

Hedera18 will also feature the first global decentralized hashgraph hackathon simultaneously in five cities around the world: Dallas, London, São Paulo, Singapore, and Tel Aviv. Developers will have a chance to compete in teams, building dapps in categories such as gaming, social causes, micropayments, and more. Each city will crown its own regional winner and those winners will compete for the title of Global Hackathon winner. The winning regional teams will earn Hedera tokens and a chance to have their projects incubated and launched on the Hedera public network.

Thank you so much for all your support of Hedera and for being a part of this amazing journey. We can’t wait to see what future you will build.
