Hedera
Hedera provides secure, scalable infrastructure for real-world decentralized applications in finance, AI, and sustainability, governed by global enterprises.

TL;DR: we’ve extended the deadline to apply for the developer mainnet program. Apply by July 30th to earn hbars.

In June, we announced an expansion of our community testing program for developers to earn hbars by preparing an app to connect to the mainnet or by contributing code.

We’ve received many enthusiastic submissions from the community ready to launch, but some have requested more time, too. As such, we have elected to extend the deadline to apply for the developer mainnet program by a couple weeks to July 30th.

Here’s a quick recap, and answers to some of the commonly asked questions we’ve received:

What do I earn?

We’ll be choosing 5 teams to earn up to 100,000 ℏ and up to 30 teams will earn 10,000 ℏ. Read more about the program in our initial announcement blog post.

Who can participate?

Anyone. No matter if you’re an existing application already announced on Hedera, porting your smart contracts from another ledger, building from scratch, or anywhere in between.

What types of projects are you interested in?

Thus far entries range from SDKs, example apps, to fully functioning projects. Hedera will review all entrants based on categories including: best use of a public ledger, most helpful for the community, using unique Hedera functionality, among other aspects.

If you need help with a concept, go ahead and submit the application form and we can brainstorm together.

How do I apply?

Share your idea – and code if you have it ready – in this form. We’ll reach out to say hello and see if you need any help.
