Deep Dive into the Hedera Agent Kit: Plugins, Tools, and Practical Workflows

The Hedera Agent Kit is an open-source toolkit that brings intelligent agent workflows to the Hedera network. It’s designed for developers who want to integrate Hedera Consensus Service (HCS), Hedera Token Service (HTS), and account management into agent-driven applications, either running in human-in-the-loop (HITL) mode or fully autonomous mode. This means agents can do more than process information; they can also send tokens, manage accounts, and coordinate workflows directly on a public ledger.

Upcoming Changes to Node Account IDs: What Developers Need to Know

As part of the network evolution and the rollout of the Dynamic Address Book (DAB) on Hedera, upcoming releases of the consensus node software (v0.68 in December, 2025) will enable changes to node account IDs. This article provides an overview of what developers need to know to align their applications with this change.

Slices: Building The Web3 Real Estate Index Fund

In our series so far, we’ve laid the essential groundwork for a modern, Web3-native Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). We’ve explored how to model buildings as digital assets, how to manage their cashflows on-chain, and how to set up governance and jurisdiction in a decentralized world. In short: we’ve assembled the core building blocks of tokenized real estate. Now, it’s time to step back from the single property and evaluate the portfolio holistically, as a manager would.

Hiero Turns One: Graduation and Growth

One year ago, on September 16th, 2024, Hedera contributed its entire codebase to Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust (LFDT). That donation created Hiero, the first public blockchain codebase contributed to an independent foundation. This marked a turning point for Hedera, and reinforced the belief that trust must be built in the open, not behind closed doors. It also underscored a commitment to code neutrality: the principle that no single company controls the rules. Neutral code is the foundation of lasting trust as it’s open, transparent, and resilient enough to outlive any single actor.

These are the Winners of the Hello Future Origins Hackathon

The Hello Future Origins Hackathon has come to a close! Builders developed new solutions in the areas of AI & Agents, DeFi & Tokenization, and Sustainability. With the Legacy Builders track, participants also had the opportunity to continue refining and optimizing their existing builds from previous Hedera hackathons. The winning teams took home a total prize pool worth $150,000 USD!

Hedera Selected for Wyoming’s Frontier Stable Token (FRNT), the First U.S. State-Issued Stable Token

The Wyoming Stable Token Commission (WYST) announced at its last Commission meeting that the Frontier Stable Token (FRNT), the first state-issued stable token in the United States, will soon also be available on Hedera, a trusted public network governed by leading global institutions. Hedera was selected as the only additional blockchain to be a candidate for FRNT, during the Commission’s Q2 evaluation, having met stringent criteria for speed, reliability, and regulatory alignment.

What’s New in AI Studio

Over the past couple of months, Hedera AI-Studio has been on a roll, delivering smart enhancements and developer-focused improvements to make it easier to build AI-powered applications on-chain. In July 2025, the team launched a re-architected Version 3 of the Hedera Agent Kit—a JavaScript SDK that simplifies the creation of AI agents capable of interacting with the Hedera network.

Hedera Developer Highlights August 2025

The SDK Feedback Survey is live. Help shape the future of Hedera SDKs by telling us what works, what’s missing, and where we can improve. This month, we also cover the SDK namespace transition to Hiero, the full mainnet traffic switch to HIP-1217 logic, and deep dives into HIP-1046 and HIP-1127 from our latest Technical Community Call.
