State of Decentralization Survey 2021

Hedera
Hedera provides secure, scalable infrastructure for real-world decentralized applications in finance, AI, and sustainability, governed by global enterprises.

In 2020, we’ve seen the adoption of distributed ledger technologies (DLTs) to power meaningful real-world applications. DLTs are being used in production to fight fraud, improve transparency, issue and manage digital assets, and reduce costs across a wide range of industries and applications.

At Hedera, we’ve set out to measure adoption and usage of DLTs in an entirely agnostic way — whether permissioned / permissionless or public/private — and to get a pulse on the distributed ledger landscape with our inaugural State of Decentralization Survey.

This survey aims to gain deeper insights into DLT adoption through the lens of both startup and enterprise organizations and across geographic regions with varying degrees of regulation. This survey will answer questions such as:

  • Which industries are ripe for decentralization and have begun adopting DLTs in production?
  • What have been the biggest challenges of architecting a public or private DLT?
  • Which types of use cases across specific industries have seen the fastest growth?
  • How long does it take to go from concept to production deployment based on company size?

By taking this 5-minute survey, you’ll be helping Hedera create an even more comprehensive study and receive exclusive first access to our insights report with survey responses. We encourage everyone to share this survey with their trusted network.
