Hedera
Hedera provides secure, scalable infrastructure for real-world decentralized applications in finance, AI, and sustainability, governed by global enterprises.

One of the favorite parts of my job is hearing about startups building innovative decentralized applications. As you can imagine, these startups can range from the classical side-project out of a garage to a venture-backed team in San Francisco high rises. The constant theme? They’re all excited to be working with distributed ledger technology that will help decentralize our daily lives.

In our new Youtube series Dapp Talk we’re sitting down with our favorite projects to explore just that – the innovation they’re driving. In each episode we’ll take a quick look at what they’re working on, why a distributed ledger makes sense for their project, and the progress that they’re making.

In the first episode, I had the chance to chat with Gabby Dizon, Chairman and Co-founder of Alto. Alto’s goal is to make it as easy as possible for gaming developers to use distributed ledgers without having to get up to speed with what’s happening under the covers.

Today, Alto helps games adopt smart contract powered digital collectibles. Popularized by Cryptokitties, digital collectibles or crypto collectibles, provide a better experience for gamers – giving them true ownership of an asset they can re-sell – and developers – bringing new revenue streams. Checkout our first episode of Dapp Talk to learn more about Alto and the future of gaming. If you enjoy it, be sure to subscribe to hear soon from the teams at Hearo.fm, Otrafy, Hashing Systems, and others.
